Editorial policy
Useful answers, with sources you can follow.
FloodInsurance.ai is published by Your Insure Cure LLC. Our editorial standard is to explain local flood issues clearly and connect factual claims to appropriate sources.
Sources and local detail
For flood history, maps, and public warnings, we prioritize original material from agencies such as the National Weather Service, USGS, FEMA, and state and local authorities. Source links should let you inspect the underlying information. A report about a historical flood does not describe current conditions.
For insurance questions, we distinguish general explanations from the terms of a particular policy. Coverage limits, exclusions, eligibility, and effective dates must be confirmed for the policy and property concerned.
Authorship and revisions
Articles identify their author in the byline. A publication or update date should represent the article's actual history; changing the website design does not by itself mean the article has been fact-checked again.
The 46 state guides were revised on October 11, 2026 with local research, source references, flood-history tables, and city-specific risk information. Sources describe the information available when checked; maps, policy terms, and conditions can change afterward.
Automated assistance
AI tools have assisted with drafting, organizing, and building this website. An AI-generated statement is not an independent source. Our standard for revisions is to check factual details against the cited sources and to make uncertainties clear.
Corrections and questions
Send the page address, the passage in question, and any supporting source to info@floodinsurance.ai, or call 888-858-0840. This gives us the information needed to investigate a correction.
Use the right information for the decision
Our guides help you prepare questions. They do not replace a property's official mapping, an insurer's policy documents, a lender's requirements, or local emergency instructions. For immediate weather information, use the official resources.
